What our employees have to say

Hudema-Nedeen-HQC
Nedeene Hudema, Manager of Analytics

I love working at the Health Quality Council because the organization’s mission, values and principles align strongly with my own. Even though I have been working here for a long time, it doesn’t feel that way because we constantly evolve, change, and grow to what is needed, and to what we need to be to help. We are privileged to be working with some of the richest data sources in the country; I find the work with the data to be very intriguing and fun, as we are sometimes ‘data detectives’ – a necessity in health research, to be able to understand how the health system is represented in the data, and how it is not. Data is truth, but only if you deeply understand the context of its journey.”

Emiliana Bomfim, Researcher

“Working for the Health Quality Council has been a fantastic experience. As a researcher, each day presents a new challenge and learning opportunity. Working with leading-edge professionals with a great passion for work makes it easier to achieve our goals. I have gained tremendous experience with intersectoral work that allows us to interact with partners at all levels of the health-care system, as well as with community-based organizations. Coming to work every day has been enjoyable as the whole team strives for a friendly and supportive environment that is sensitive to prioritizing employee well-being. I truly feel grateful to work for such a unique company!”

Dave Broda, Program Manager

“Working at HQC has been an educational journey that has not only broadened my understanding of improvement science but has also revealed the wide reach of its application across various areas of healthcare. My time at HQC has allowed me to discover the passion, devotion, and commitment of the team, reinforcing my own dedication to contributing to positive changes within communities throughout Saskatchewan. Through my experience here, I have learned that quality improvement is not confined to a single idea but rather servers as a versatile tool that can be used to enhance various aspects of healthcare delivery in the province.”
