Saskatchewan’s Health Quality Council (HQC) is looking for an individual with a unique blend of project management and policy analysis competencies to support the work of the provincial Safety Alert/Stop the Line initiative. This is an opportunity to work with safety leaders from across Saskatchewan and to lead the development and implementation of a complex, system-wide improvement initiative. Note: HQC is open to secondments from other organizations.
The Project and Policy Consultant will be a member of the core team of the Safety Alert Provincial Kaizen Operations Team, providing project management support, input on strategic direction, coordination and synthesis of data and literature related to safety, and policy analysis as required. The Project and Policy Consultant will also act as a project manager for the PKOT Provincial Networks and Working Groups and, in collaboration with other Health Quality Council experts and health system leaders, will provide mentorship and leadership to these groups.
The successful candidate will be a detail-oriented, self-directed innovator who can bring a diverse group of people together to work efficiently, building and executing work plans that result in measurable health system improvement.
This is a full-time term position of 37.5 hours per week, for a period of seven months (September 1, 2015 to March 31, 2016) with the possibility of extension. The position is located in Saskatoon. Availability to travel within the province will be required.
